Biography
Dr Gao Wang is a Research Associate in Neurophotonics in the Extreme Light Group, School of Physics and Astronomy, University of Glasgow. He received the B.E. and M.E. degrees in Electronic Science and Technology from Xi’an Jiaotong University in 2017 and 2020, and the Ph.D. degree in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Glasgow in 2024. His research interests include wearable brain–computer interfaces (EEG and fNIRS), computational and ghost imaging, physical neuromorphic computing, human–AI interaction and machine learning. His work includes visual brain–computer interfaces that carry images through the human visual system to a computer, ghost imaging with the human brain in the loop, and “mind-drawing”, in which humans and AI co-adapt to reconstruct imagined shapes.
